Executive Master, major general management from HEC Paris 2023-2024, Mr Wilfried ASSI also holds a master’s degree in marketing and finance from the ESCA (class of 2008) Félix Houphouët-Boigny Polytechnic Institute in Côte d’Ivoire and the University of Brighton in England.
He is the founder of Mentor Afro, a platform whose mission is to develop and promote the talents and excellence of Afro-descendants so that they make a positive contribution to a better world.
Wilfried himself was one of 37 young African graduates out of 30 thousand applications to be recruited by the group Unilever (TOP 1 FMCG, global talent incubator according to Harvard Business Review 2018) for its young talent programme in 2009. He successfully completed this programme internationally and in December 2012 was appointed Regional Marketing Manager at Unilever Africa, covering 19 African countries from South Africa.
Through Mentor Afro, he aims to replicate and democratise the development model (mentoring and coaching) that he has used in multinational companies and which has proved its worth in terms of talent development.
In January 2015, he joined the FrieslandCampina group as Marketing Director for West and Central Africa. He was then recruited by theTRACE group as Director of Marketing and Digital Worldwide, as well as being responsible for the group’s transformation. He later joined the management committee set up by the State of Côte d’Ivoire to safeguard the operation of the Banque de l’Habitat de Côte d’Ivoire as Marketing and Communications Director.
In March 2021, Wilfried ASSI was Head of Strategic Initiatives at VLISCO NETHERLANDS (Vlisco, Uniwax, GTP, Woodin), where he worked to redefine the future of this multinational.

I'm delighted to be part of the Mentor Afro community with Wilfried ASSI. I've taken part in Mentor Afro training courses on soft skills and careers in the past and it was a huge help as I took my first steps into a managerial position.
Wilfried Assi's marketing training courses on technical skills (Hard Skills) and coaching sessions on behavioural skills (Soft Skills) are a great help in tackling day-to-day work. His availability and pragmatic approach are a great asset to those who work with him. In the Mentor Afro community, I personally believe that the word TEAM takes on its full meaning:

I'm grateful for having had the chance to benefit from coaching in Marketing and Soft Skills. Despite my atypical background, I was able to acquire skills that now allow me to calmly set up my project to set up a medical clinic with practical tools.
I've been a member of the Mentor Afro team since 2020 and it's a real pleasure to see the community grow and get closer to its vision every day. One of the things I've learned from mentor Wilfried ASSI is the importance of using your skills and values to serve your community.
